Questions
Who am I?
Why are you asking? You already are yourself.
I don't understand. So if I'm already myself, then I don't need to do anything.
That depends.
Do you doubt who you are?
I doubt. How do I find myself?
By following a path.
What kind of path?
One that trains your mind.
How do I train this mind?
In three simple steps.
What are the 3 steps?
Step 1: Breathe to settle the thoughts
Step 2: Breathe as yourself
Step 3: Breathe
That's it?
That's it.
Have people done this before?
People have been walking this path for 2,500 years.
Is there a name for this path?
Yes. Buddhism.
What do I need to believe?
Let all beliefs go. Even the belief to need a belief.
What do you mean?
Buddhism, belief, breath.
They're all just ideas of the mind.
Let it all go.
Just breathe.
What about the Buddha? Do we need to worship him?
No.
He was simply a man who found himself.
An inspiritation to those who walk the same path.
What are the 3 fundamental qualities of life?
1. Life is constantly changing.
2. Effort to control change leads to tension.
3. To grasp at at a permenant self leads to tension.
Is this a gradual path?
Yes. But only because you still believe in a "path" that any "deepening" must happen.
You're already yourself. You just don't see it.
That's why you need to practice. To settle the mind.
This path seems selfish. What about others?
Compassion naturally arises as yourself.
You see others for who they are.
You see others lost who they are.
How can you help others if you are just as lost?
You practice for yourself — for others.
